We knew each other through mutual friends, but never officially met until this: It was Memorial Day weekend, and a close family friend was having a bon fire so I invited Ethan over to hang out with us just in case he was some creep. By the time he got there, I already had a few drinks so I was feeling really good and talking the poor man's ear off. We roasted some marshmallows, and the bottom of my shoe ended up melting off so I spent most of the night barefoot. By the time the bon fire was over with, I was embarrassingly hammered, so he ended up taking me back to my apartment at 1 in the morning. And when I say embarrassingly hammered, I mean the window rolled down and me hanging halfway out of it just talking to him and staring at the sky until we passed a cop and he snapped at me to get back in the truck. I don't remember much about that car ride, but I at least remembered his favorite color! When we got back to my apartment, we stayed up all night talking and watching movies. I even tried to pluck his eyebrows, because let's be honest.... those are some bushy looking things. When daylight came around, I went to go get my dog out of the kennel to take him outside to use the bathroom, and instead he ran into the bedroom, jumped on the bed, and released his entire bladder on Ethan. The look on his face said it all... his eyes could have literally glowed in the dark they were so vibrant (they get almost neon green when he's angry). So while I took my dog outside, he jumped in the shower, and then we got ready for him to take me back to my car. I did not expect him to ever talk to me again after that night. I even sent him a message apologizing for my dog peeing on him, and I never heard anything back from him. For whatever reason, he finally responded to my message at like 9 that night and we both agreed to just start over and give our first date a second shot. We went to my favorite restaurant (IHOP), hit it off immediately, and we've been inseparable since!
