Nearly five years before Dillon and Cassidy started dating, Dillon expressed his goal for their nonexistent relationship (at the time). He approached her at a party, that she was at with someone else, and pulled her aside to tell her "I'm going to make you my wife one day. I'm going to marry you". At that point in their lives, this couple knew of one another, but had never spoken more than a few words at a time to each other. In that moment, Cassidy looked at Dillon and replied "Yeah okay, you're absolutely crazy". They both went on with their night and never thought of it twice, until a few years down the road that is. When this couple started to talk regularly right before dating, Dillon made sure to bring up the fact that he remembered telling Cassidy how he told her that he was going to marry her one day. He also made sure to remind her of this moment almost immediately after proposing to her. I guess Dillon doesn't seem so crazy at this point in their lives.
