Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Cassidy Whitmire and Dakin Barrott
Meet our family and friends who are walking down the isle with us!

Jordan Perry

Maid of Honor

My friendship with Cassidy started on a random day in 8th grade history class. I will never forget how I was sitting in Mrs. Surrats class, and this girl leans over and goes “hey, pick up my pencil”; and then we became best friends. The rest of that year was spent with us hanging out at Chester frost park. Since then, there has been so many fun memories made and one was when I had planned a last minute trip to Hawaii, and Cassidy last minute joined me so I wasn’t alone. The whole trip was a blast, and I will never forget sitting on the hotel balcony at 2am, laughing about something stupid; and then not realizing that we were there during the annual marathon.

"Sometimes we just bump into certain people and they become part of our journey." Cassidy and I have been friends for over 7 years now. Who knew a little retail job would land me a best friend and sister. We always joke about each other's sense of style and how it's completely different from one another but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am so thankful we are apart of each others journey!

Cassidy Megan Whitmire Well.. we go way back, and when I say way back, I mean day one for her, April 18th, 1997, to be exact. I got to meet my baby cousin at the age of just three years old. I even helped one of the nurses give one of her first baths. I was so excited, I told everyone I had a new baby sister on the way. I even told my teachers in preschool that I had a baby sister. They kept waiting for my mom or dad to bring this new baby around, picking me up from school, but no one ever saw her. They finally asked my mom one day where the baby was—she had to explain that I was just excited about my new cousin, I was trying to claim her as my own sister! As close as we were as kids, that’s exactly what you would’ve thought we were. I had such a sweet childhood with the best baby sister cousin around. I’m thrilled, 28 years later, that I’m still getting to be a part of the sweet memories, especially of the family she’s creating. I could not be more excited to see where the adventures of life take her and Dakin. ❤️

Bridesmaid

Cassidy is not only my older sister; she is someone I can always rely on. She's been there for every part of my life, the happy and the sad. I wouldn't have it any other way. Growing up was a never-ending sleepover: playing outside, playing games, and watching movies together. She's taught me a lot of things, one of them being how to tie my shoes. I was not only born with a sister; I was born with a forever friend.

Cara Whitmire

Bridesmaid

Cassidy is like a second mother to me. When my dog ran away, she was the one working the hardest to find him, posting his pictures online and scouring shelter websites. She endured hundreds of scam calls to get him back for me because she knew how much he meant to me. I can only hope that I can repay her for the happiness she has brought me through the years, and I wish her and Dakin the best in the life they will build together.

Bridesmaid

I was trying out for the middle school cheer team and struggling with the dance routine, and Cassidy learned the dance to help me with it. It was so much fun to spend time with her, and it was so nice of her to take the time out of her day to help me with it. I hope Cassidy and Dakin have a wonderful marriage.

Andy Becker

Best Man

Dakin and I have been friends for over a decade, and our bond has only grown stronger with time. We've supported each other through the highs and lows since our high school days, witnessing each other's growth along the way. Over the past 3 years, disc golf has become a shared passion, with countless rounds played creating some great memories. Dakin is without a doubt, one of the most genuine people you could ever have the privilege of knowing, and I'll always cherish our frendship.

Groomsman

You could say Dakin and I go way back. He was kind of a baby the first time I met him. But he has grown since then and I should probably take the majority of the credit for it. He certainly has enough scars from me to prove it. I am the older brother.

Dakin always finds a way to make you laugh! My mom, Dakin, and I were helping our brother train for a long hike, and I will never forget how he danced to the song “I’ve got that power” by Will.i.am.. dude knows how to MOVE!! Haha

Groomsman

Dakin was the youngest, and I was the second oldest, so growing up at home, I only knew him as a toddler, so we didn’t have much of a relationship until after I came home from college. But as we got older, we have developed a closer bond through board games, basketball, golf, and frisbee golf. My greatest memories of Dakin are actually through stories and family home videos including but not limited to the time when mom saved him from drowning in 2 feet of water, “tanning” the Superman symbol to his chest that lasted for years, and when he was wading in freezing cold Idaho water when he said “don’t call us pansies”. I’m super happy for Dakin and Cassidy to take this next step and start making their own memories that we will talk about for years to come.

Groomsman

I have known Dakin since high school, but we didn't become good friends until much later, when we started a weekly game night with our friend Ben. We served together in the Galactic War (2184 - Helldivers 2), defending Super Earth, fended off the evil of The Root (Remnant II), made our fortunes during the western expansion of the US (1899 - RDR2), and played both competitive and casual car-based soccer (Rocket League). We've also saved many worlds from Zombie invasions ( Black Ops 2 & 3, COD Cold War...), and I'm sure we have many more adventures to come.

Groomsman

I remember the first time I saw Dakin. I was 15 years old, and he was walking up the street in front of my house. I recall thinking, ‘That is a very tall man.’ It was amusing to later discover that he was actually the same age as me. It’s incredible how much time has passed, and I’m truly looking forward to the future and the friendship with both Dakin and Cassidy.
