Mackenzie and Cassidy met at Grace Fellowship Church of God in 2007, where they attended youth group together throughout their middle and high school years. Mickie has been a close friend of Cassidy for over ten years, and has proven her loyalty through spiritual accountability, bonding over their love of theatre, and ultimately standing by Cassidy's side through thick and thin. In June of 2016, Mackenzie married Carson Best, with whom she now lives in Macon, GA. Mackenzie will graduate from Mercer University this May with a degree in Global Health Studies, and plans to pursue a career as a physician's assistant in the near future. Since Mackenzie stuck by Cassidy's side through her awkward middle school years, Cassidy thinks it is entirely fitting to be by her side on her wedding day.

Lawson and Cassidy have been friends for almost 10 years, having met through their mutual friend, Mackenzie, in 2008. While the two are an unlikely pairing of personalities, Lawson and Cassidy share a strong love for God and each other, which has been more than sufficient to make the friendship strong and lasting. Lawson and Cassidy go to UGA together, where Lawson majors in Early Childhood Education. She is passionate about spreading the Gospel and ministering to children -- specifically those struggling with learning disorders. Cassidy admires Lawson's work ethic, and looks up to her for her seemingly endless joy, regardless of the hard things life throws at her. Lawson will stand by Cassidy's side during the ceremony, in the same way that she has stood by her throughout the last decade.

Makiah and Cassidy attended school together at Lee University, where they lived in the same dorm during their freshman and sophomore years. While in school together, they found that they shared a love for theology and worship music, causing them to lead worship together in an on-campus organization on a regular basis. Makiah is majoring in Public Relations, and is currently a member of the a capella group Voices of Lee, where she is one of only 16 members who travel globally as representatives of Lee. Although Cassidy transferred schools to UGA, she and Makiah remained close friends. They have found that frequent video calls make the 180 mile distance more bearable, but Cassidy looks forward to having Makiah only a few feet away from her at the wedding -- a much closer range than usual.
