We're getting married!

Cassidi and Evan first met in Dallas in March of 2021. At the time, Evan was home during his last year of medical school living in his mom and step dad’s attic. They met through Hinge, where Evan responded to Cassidi’s prompt about her extreme hatred of Grandpa Joe from the Willy Wonka movie. One of the reasons Evan sought out Cassidi was because he felt her work as an elementary school teacher would make her well prepared to deal with him. He was right. Little did he know, his work in medicine made him well prepared to deal with her hypochondria. It was a perfect match. With this, Evan became the father figure that Cassidi’s dog, Phoebe, had been missing in her life. In July of 2023, Evan asked Cassidi to marry him, and for some reason she said yes. He proposed at the Dallas Arboretum, one of their favorite places in the city. Evan every Thursday night for the previous month would say, “want to get engaged this weekend?” in hopes of making her less suspicious. When the day came, Cassidi said no to the outing, that it was far too hot and they can go another time. She lost that battle and was extremely thankful for it. They cannot wait to celebrate their love with their friends and family in October!
