It was the year of 2020, and oh what a year that was for all of us. During the pandemic, everything was shut down, cut off, closed, and gone for the holidays. So you may wonder, how did Xa and Cassia meet? It was march 2020, Xavier & I had been recently sent home from campus (If that's what the dirty bird's consider it). Like everyone, we were trying to find our new normal. This included spending hours on social media trying to catch up on the news. So boom! Xavier & I met on Instagram! For our older guests, Instagram is a social media platform that "the young folks" use. Xavier followed me and started commenting under my story. His first comment was in efforts to invite me to church. We then jumped into a very deep conversation about life and became friends instantly. At the end of our conversation online, Xavier said "why don't we slide this conversation to iMessage?". I slid my number back and we were on our way. After several chick-fil-a links, GSO-RDU rides, church services, and FaceTime calls...WE'RE HERE. -Cassia Kay
