We did it!

Kevin and Cassi met at J. Christopher’s, where they were both working as servers. They started dating in 2014 and only 2 months later, they moved into a 2 bedroom apartment together. They came from similar backgrounds. The most important thing they share, is they both have loving parents who are still together to this day. With them, they were able to grow up knowing how to trust and support another, without ever giving up when things got tough. They spent 5 years making names for themselves separately in their careers and hobbies; but focussed even more on building a life together. On Kevin’s 31st birthday, he visited Cassi’s parents. Her dad asked him what he was going to ask for for his birthday, in which Kevin responded, “I want to ask for your permission to marry your daughter.” 🥺 They haven’t always been the conventional couple, but there are some traditions that prove a man’s worth before proposing. For any guy to get the courage to ask Brent Rowlett to marry one of his daughters, well, it also shows they’re brave enough to take on one of his girls! A few weeks later, they left for Myrtle Beach. On May 17, 2019, they planned to roll out of bed before the sun was up so Cassi could look for shark teeth. Hair and teeth unbrushed, still in their pjs, the 2 got in the car. Kevin quickly jumped out to “grab his jacket” and soon returned as they headed to the beach. They made it just in time to watch the sun rise while pacing up and down the beach shore. Right as Cassi asked Kevin if they could go back to the hotel, he pulled her hand back. As she turned around to see what he wanted, she saw Kevin down on one knee in the sand. “Cassi, I love you so much. I don’t want to go one more day without knowing you’ll be my wife. Will you marry me?” She was immediately caught off guard. Her immediate response was, “are you sure,” before taking back that question and saying, “I love you too!” Kevin asked if that was a yes and she exclaimed, “of course!”
