It's Finally Happening!

Sammy #finally asked Cassey to marry him during a routine trip to the 1,000 islands. We bundled up Taz and went out on the boat for a nice morning of fishing. Sammy was teaching Cassey some new styles of fishing in a nearby bay when she almost caught “the fish of a million casts” - a musky! After a few hours, we were both getting hungry but Sammy wanted to troll in towards Sorrento’s Shady Oaks. After cutting into shore too closely, Sammy insisted that Cassey’s lure was caught up on something and had her reel in and switch poles with him. Shortly after, she noticed her lure wasn’t fluttering as it should so, unsure if she had a fish or not, she reeled it in to fix it. During this time, Sammy’s pole accidentally falls into the water as he goes to the front of the boat to get the ring. Cassey was very concerned because this usually would not go over very well. After reeling in her lure and seeing no fish or seaweed, Cassey tries to insist that we go back to find the sinking pole while Sammy insists that while she might not have a fish, it still looks like there is something on her lure. After a closer look, Cassey notices that the sparkly thing hanging from the middle of the lure was a fake engagement ring. When she turned towards the back of the boat, Sammy was down on one knee with the actual ring and asked her to marry him 💙
