What should I wear?

Answer

Semi Formal attire The wedding party will be in formal wedding attire, and it’s optional for all guests. For men, they should wear a classic suit or tux, including a tie, and formal evening wear (floor-length dresses or evening pantsuits) for women. Please note that parking may be on grass or gravel when choosing footwear.

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

We have private access to the Chapel starting at 4 PM. Please arrive between 4 and 4:15 pm to help ensure the ceremony begins on time. If you would like to explore Powell Gardens on the day of, prior to the wedding, you may come for free admission. Just tell the front desk you are with the wedding.

Are children invited?

Answer

We absolutely adore your little ones, but due to limited space at our venue, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We hope this gives you the opportunity to enjoy a fun, relaxing evening celebrating with us! Thank you so much for understanding. We can’t wait to celebrate together! If you need a sitter, please don't hesitate to reach out to Cassey. She has a list of trusted babysitters who have set aside the date to help accommodate.

How do I get there and where do I park?

Answer

Turn into the Powell Gardens entrance drive off of 50 Highway. Follow the entrance drive to the intersection, just before the main gates. Turn right at the stop sign onto 650th Road. Take your first left, and you should be at the Powell Gardens administrative entrance. At the fork in the road, take a right. You will be driving away from the lake. Just follow the signs for the wedding. Drive down the road until you reach the Chapel parking lot.

Is the reception somewhere else?

Answer

YES! Our reception is at Elysian Fields KC, as included on the details card of your invite. You will turn in at the entrance and continue down the gravel driveway until you reach the parking area.
