Unexpected love

We’ve casually known each other for a very long time since we grew up in the same neighborhood. Never had I imagined we would end up forever together. During the 2020 pandemic, I was scrolling through my Facebook page, and I reacted to a funny meme without knowing that he was the one who had shared the post. He then visits my profile and stalks. One morning I woke up and saw a notification to a familiar profile on my phone it said like this “Hi Ate, sa first Street pa kayo naka-tira?” And I was like I have never lived in that area, so I replied, “Hello, Christian, Hindi, sa Angono na kami nakatira.” While most people are bored due to the lockdown, we had the chance to talk and get to know each other deeply and romantically. We were an online couple for a year before officially becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. Fast forward to 2021—we finally met in person, which felt surreal! Things went by so fast, we have the same goals, vision, and plans and all I can say is that we are on the same page. Here we are planning our 2nd wedding anniversary and our most awaited Church wedding. Yup! You read that right—we got married at the Kuwait Embassy in 2023, on the exact date of our church wedding. And the rest is history! I was amazed as to why things went by so fast, like, all stars aligned perfectly for us. When I look back, I realize all I did was pray to the Lord. Now, I truly believe that God’s plan is better than anything we could have imagined. Who could have imagined that God would work so mysteriously, bringing the perfect love into my life when I least expected it? Everything we have accomplished up to this day was all by God’s grace.
