Daniel & I met through an online dating website called Plenty of Fish. It is not the more traditional way of meeting someone, but we aren't really the traditional couple. We have been blessed and lucky to combine our families into one. Where there normally would have been two, we are a family of six (seven including my puppy, Dash)! It always felt like something was missing, but it was hard to find the right person to share my life with. Many mistakes were made to get where we are now. But I would not trade a single life experience if it meant we would be any less happy than we are right now! I used to think, "Man, I wish I had met him earlier, sooner.." But I don't think that was how things were meant to be. We met at exactly the right time. I had my son, Xander - who has expanded my life and the way I see life in ways I never could have imagined. Daniel had his three kiddos, Gavin, Autumn, and Ember - who he adores and provides for like every good father should. We have both lived through hard life lessons in life and love, and we were able to know what we wanted and what we deserved in a partner. We were no longer settling. If I had met him sooner, I wouldn't have been ready for him. I wouldn't have appreciated all of the wonderful things about him as much. We met untraditionally, online... but that makes no difference to me. He was my perfect catch, a keeper! And I have never felt so much love... -Cassaundra Newhouse July 2022
