Once upon a time in a small town called South Bend... Luke (AKA: Thomas) was minding his own business, working hard on the maintenance team at The Foundry, when a girl from Texas joined the leasing office. After an especially crazy day at work, he and a small group of their colleagues decided to visit a neighborhood bar & grill for a few drinks. Cassandra had previously declined similar invitations to join, however something compelled her to go this time. As the others slowly departed, the two found each other in deep conversation. Something special had begun. Soon after, they began messaging each other every day. While out with friends one night, Luke decided to call Cassandra. To his surprise, she answered. For nearly an hour, they spoke about their mutual love of Star Wars, James Cameron and Mel Brooks movies. He serenaded her with the theme song from Blazing Saddles, and at one point even told her that he was going to ask her to marry him some day. Little did he know he was predicting the future. Weeks passed where they invited each other to different events (ex. a South Bend Cubs game, one-day music festival, etc.), only to chicken out at the last minute. Then, one day Luke finally asked Cassandra out on an official date - one that she would later describe to her friends as the "best first date ever." They have been inseparable ever since. From their first real conversation at Brother's, to the night they got engaged under the lights of the Golden Dome, Luke and Cassandra have grown deeper in love each day.
