THE RENEWAL

We met while we were both in a wedding in September 2014. Sergio was very persistent about talking to me, and honestly, I had zero interest at first. I had just bought a house and was focused on figuring out my life. I told him right away, “I come with a package deal—a son and a crazy ex-boyfriend.” He just smiled and said, “Okay,” like I hadn’t just said the word crazy. I completely blew him off at the wedding, then ran into him at the mall the very next day and avoided him like crazy. (For the record, he definitely saw me! 😂) Eventually, he got my number from the bride and sent me a text. I left him on read for about a week. Fast forward a little bit—we finally made plans to see each other. In October 2014, this man drove 1,173 miles to spend the weekend with me. He didn’t even tell his family he was coming to town! 😂 That weekend changed everything. We hit it off, fell madly in love, and by New Year’s Eve, we were engaged. Then came another plot twist—I got pregnant and told him, “I will NOT be another single parent.” His response? “Then let’s get married. Why wait?” So we did. We were married on May 8, 2015. Through all the highs and lows, the laughter and challenges, the beautiful moments and the hard ones, we’re still here. Still choosing each other. Still growing together. The story continues 11 years later… WE STILL DO. ❤️ And this was our very first picture together… (And yes, I had heels on! 😂)
