To start off, our moms have been good friends since junior high! So didn't we get lucky skipping the awkward family introductions lol. So according to our moms, we actually met when Buddy was a newborn and I was 2. Then lives got busy, and we didn't meet again until high school. It was Spring of 2010 and our moms were reconnecting again, having dinner one night at Chili's. My mom invited me to stop by to get some food, and when I did I immediately got nervous because this cute redhead was sitting at the table with them. We were both kind of shy and it was awkward because we were sitting across from each other and didn't really talk at all. After that, our moms and other mutual friends started hanging out more so we would see each other around. We eventually got each others numbers and started texting. In June, Buddy's family invited my family and other friends to their annual river trip in Concan, TX. It was so exciting getting to hang out around each other for several days, and not just texting. Our feelings for each other developed more, and a little over a month later on July 22, 2010 Buddy asked me to be his girlfriend. After 12 long years and a beautiful baby girl, we're FINALLY getting married!! 💒🎊🥰

We had always known we wanted to marry each other, it was just a question of when. At the end of 2019 Buddy left a text conversation open on the kitchen counter, and when I walked by I noticed the engagement ring emoji. So of course I'm gonna look lol when I looked back it said "Big plans for July 💍" Buddy caught me looking 😬 and I said "its ok, I still don't know an exact date or how". 😂 Well come February 2020 we found out I was pregnant and COVID was taking off, so I assumed the proposal plans were gonna be on hold. July 25, 2020 we went out to take maternity photos, taken by my wonderful friend and bridesmaid, Isabella. We were in a beautiful spot standing on round stones in a creek. Buddy was on a stone behind me, so I couldn't see what he was doing. Isabella tells me to reach for his hand but keep looking at her. Then after a few pictures she tells me to turn around, and there's Buddy down on one knee holding a gorgeous ring! It was so perfect! ❤️
