We met in the spring of 2014, in San Diego, CA. Cassandra was on her way to finishing a quick, but eventful college journey at UCLA, and Michael had just finished his undergraduate career at UCSD in the winter. Cassandra was on a retreat with her sorority sisters in San Diego and looking forward to a relaxing night in. Meanwhile, Michael was propositioned to host a social gathering for the evening's festivities at his house but was unsure of the housemate's approval. Miraculously the housemates agreed to host, and Michael began preparing for his hosting duties. Later in the evening, Cassandra had a change of heart and decided to seize the opportunity to enjoy a fun night out instead of staying in. Then came the fateful moment when the two lovers meet on Michael's front porch. Cassandra approached the front door, ready to confirm the location of the festivities and excited for the fun night ahead, unbeknownst that the adventure of a lifetime was behind the door. Michael approached the door to answer the knock and was ready to welcome his first guest of the evening unbeknownst that he would also be welcoming a new love. However, Cassandra in her haste to beat the uber meter took off before she could introduce herself. Upon returning to the door a second time Cassandra recognized her error and hoped the handsome stranger would answer the door a second time. Thankfully he did, and thus began a night that was nothing short of special for the couple. Since that fateful night in April 2014, Cassandra and Michael have had countless memories together, which also include many of you! They have experienced graduations and celebrated new jobs. They have held each other close to ease the passing of loved ones. Although things have not always been easy they have, in fact, been beautiful. And so we are all eagerly counting down the days! We are so grateful for the immeasurable impact each of you has had in their lives, and are excited to celebrate our big day with all of you!
