Bre Favors is one of Cassie's best friends since 6th grade. Bre has been working with Matthew at Equinix since 2015. Cassie first laid eyes on Matthew in 2015 at an Equinix coworker gathering in SOHO. Cassie asked Bre about his relationship status and for more details about him; Bre had nothing but great things to say about him. However, Bre was not an efficient wingwoman. 4 years later, Cassie took matters into her own hands and trapped his ass. He had fallen for her Asian magic and proposed. Cassie finished Physician Assistant school in Savannah, GA, and moved back to her hometown of Tampa, FL. She was hanging out with Bre Favors, her best bud since 6th grade, and her Equinix coworkers one weekend. Cassie felt butterflies when she saw Matt and wondered if he remembered her from many moons ago. Matt had chopsticks in his upper gums and clapped his hands like a walrus from across the room thinking he was entertaining his coworkers, but in actuality, he was charming Cassie. She was hooked and slid into his DMs later. He asked her out on a date to Remedy Bar Tampa and she coyly agreed to the date. Cassie procrastinated and was running late to the date, per usual. She noticed her nails were atrocious and time was a tickin'. She applied quick-dry, light pink nail polish and ran to the elevator. She was approached by a small, white fluffy dog in the elevator. She could not resist petting this cute dog who stared into her soul. She gave this sweet puppy the best of pets. However, she quickly saw the pink nail polish on his white fur and instantly felt so so bad, but had no time to spare! As she retracted her fingers, she saw her own nails had become furry, and the dog had become pink. She quickly combed over the dog's hair, whispered her apologies to the dog, and hoped the owner did not see the new pink highlights on his white floof. Cassie ran to the car and sped to the date with her hairy fingernails on the steering wheel. She was lost, per usual, on top of being late for the date that she had longed for. Matthew said he'd find her and he sure did. She saw this tall, dark, Italian-Polish movie star walk down to the sidewalk toward her; he smiled and waved. He had a mild glitter to him as the sunset beamed on his New Jersey tan skin #edwardcullen. Both parties instantly felt pure happiness, excitement, and comfort. Cassie quickly was brought back down to Earth after her first hug with him, and immediately felt the need to explain her furry fingers, and admitted she was extremely embarrassed. His laugh was so jovial when he saw her furry fingers. He then grabbed her hand gently and interlocked his goombah fingers with her furry fingers and guided her to the bar. They sat and talked for hours as the only pair at the bar. They realized it was time to wrap things up as the moon was overhead. He walked her to her car and said, "I really had a great time...". She replied in a soft, sweet voice, "Me, too...", and batted her little Asian eyelashes at him. He thought to himself, "I'm gonna go in 90% for the kiss, and see if she succumbs to the other 10%." She sure did fall for that 10%, and it was instant fireworks. Little did they know that that date was the beginning of forever love.
