FAQs

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

To allow all of our guests a relaxing and carefree evening, we have chosen to make our wedding weekend an adults-only celebration. If your little ones will be traveling with you to Miami, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly (516-941-7045) —we would be happy to share local childcare recommendations and help make your stay as seamless as possible.

Question

How will I get to the Venue?

Answer

To make transportation as easy as possible, we will be providing Uber vouchers for our guests on the day of the wedding. Voucher details will be available on our wedding website on 01/17 and can be used for rides to and from the venue. Please carpool if possible :) Since our guests will be staying throughout different areas of Miami, we felt this was the most convenient way to help everyone travel safely and comfortably. We hope this makes getting to and from the celebration one less thing to worry about—we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Will there be parking at the venue if I choose to drive?

Answer

Yes! There will be parking at the venue, however, if you plan to drink, please use the uber vouchers we'll be sharing!

Question

What is the dress code for the Welcome event and Wedding Day?

Answer

Welcome Event: Cocktail Attire. For women: Short or long cocktail dresses, and dressy jumpsuits are great options. For men: Dress pants with a button-down shirt and blazer, or a suit. Ties are optional. Wedding Day: Summer Formal or Black Tie Optional. While we know it's January, it is Miami! We invite our guests to embrace a colorful and elegant summer formal look. For women: We kindly ask that you wear a floor-length formal dress. Colors, tropical hues, and prints are encouraged, but not required. For men: A suit or tux will be perfect. Given Miami's warm weather, lighter fabrics and colors are welcome. Shoes: Ladies, we recommend opting for block heels, wedges, or another comfortable and walkable shoe option. Our ceremony will take place on grass, and the reception will be held in a courtyard, so stilettos may be a little tricky to navigate. We want you to feel comfortable dancing the night away :) Our ceremony and Reception will take place outdoors, so we recommend dressing with South Florida’s climate in mind. While Miami in January is typically beautiful, evenings can get a little “cool” by Florida standards (sometimes dipping into the 60s), so we suggest bringing a light layer or choosing fabrics that will keep you comfortable throughout the celebration.

Question

Where is the wedding? Are the Ceremony & Reception at the same place?

Answer

Our wedding will be held at Deering Estate (not Deering Bay Yacht Club). Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors at the estate, so we recommend planning your attire and footwear with the outdoor setting in mind.

Question

When should I arrive to Deering Estate for the Ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive by 4:30 PM (and no later than 4:45 PM) so everyone has plenty of time to get settled before our ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
