Cassie and Jonathan met for the first time at a mutual friend's birthday party in the summer of 2018. Cassie came up to say hi to where Jonathan and co were standing, and Jonathan was so scared and shy that he didn't say a word, but admired from afar (>6 feet even though pre-COVID). He later revealed that he was intimidated by her beauty and personality! He ended up messaging her to get to know her better. Cassie has a habit of collecting useless items. At this point, she knew that Jonathan had a knack for plants, and she conveniently had three giant bags of lime (for changing the pH and thus color of hydrangea plants, for those of you who don't have a green thumb). She asked Jonathan if he needed the lime, to which he replied yes, even though he had no idea what the lime was for, nor did he own any hydrangea plants. This marked the beginning of their friendship. After much texting and conversing, Jonathan asked Cassie if she wanted to study together and then get dinner after. She agreed and they studied at a coffee shop and went to Bukcheon for dinner. He claimed this was their first date, while she counters that this was not a date! Regardless, this was the start of a new budding relationship. And two years of medical school, one couples match, one intern year, and two anesthesia years later (not to mention two cats), here we are today to celebrate the joining of two lovebugs.
