We started “talking” a few days shy of my 19th birthday. We officially met a few weeks after that and started dating on his birthday, February 14th. Little did I know that this handsome and hillbilly man would become my other half. Right from the beginning we would always talk about how everything felt natural, we could be ourselves around one another. It was like we had known each other for years. We would spend usually once a week together. We lived a little over an hour from each other, Dustin in Ohio, and me in Indiana. He worked full time and I went to school and worked. We didn’t have a lot of time but we made it work. We both fit right in to each other’s families, everything seemed like a dream come true. Eventually, we started spending entire weekends together. The weeks apart seemed so long and the weekends together seemed so short. Dustin always made a point to celebrate our little month anniversaries, we never spent a 14th apart no matter what day it was. Our first summer together was packed full of memories with some amazing friends and family. The best one I had ever had. We couldn’t imagine our lives without one another. That’s when we both knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. After summer ended, we had made plans to move in together the following fall, but God had a different plan for us, the right plan. We ended up moving into our first home October of 2017. I still had to work in Indiana for another month, but I didn’t mind the hour in half drive if it meant I went home to him everyday. I received the best Christmas present in 2017. My best friend asked me to marry him. In February, we celebrated our one year. Some of you won’t understand why it seems so fast. To us it doesn’t seem soon enough. When you know, you just know. He is whom my soul has chosen. I know our love for one another could move mountains, and part seas. God has answered our prayers, and brought us together.
If you didn't know, Dustin and I got married on June 29, 2018. We had just a small ceremony at the Shelby County Courthouse. Our parents and my two younger sisters were there. The day was perfect for us, we wanted something small and intimate. We spent the morning taking lots of pictures, and then followed that with lunch with my parents and sisters. We celebrated that night camping out at Janet and Tim's with Aaron and going up to Liberty Days. We continued the next night on Dreosch road! We had such a great weekend celebrating with our immediate family. Now we look forward to celebrating with the rest of our family and our friends! We look forward to a great night and we hope you will join us too!
