“Where to even begin, it all started a mid September day when after I had only interacted with Cassie about two times before I sat and listened to her talk about herself for about a good hour. It was in that very moment I knew we would become the best of friends! From strangers to sorority sisters to coworkers the past eight years have been filled with sharing some of our happiest to saddest moments with one another. We have traveled together, laughed, cried, had a countless amount of cuddle sessions, witnessed each other’s accomplishments, helped one another grow professionally and at a personal level plus so much more a few words cannot capture. I’ve had the honor of seeing her grow into the amazing human she is, of witnessing her fall in love with Jesus (I told you from day one it would be a forever type of love) and I could not be happier for the two of you. After all through my friendship with Cassie I have also gained a little brother in Jesus. I am so excited to share another milestone with you and I cannot wait to see you become a beautiful wife! I’ll love you always and forever my baby bestie!”

“Met this guy in middle school, was about 4’ 8 and about 80lbs. I don’t even know how it started but we use to just all play soccer every single lunch during our middle school days (to this day I still school him) and hit up Winchells to play with our Nintendo DS every single Wednesday haha. Has been one of the main homies ever since. Congrats on your marriage Mitts (ducking auto correct).”

“we went to the Fairfield mall with my sister and mom. We couldn’t find my mom and sister and it was before we had cellphones so we were looking for quarters on the floor so I could use the pay phone to call my mom. Bruh we were hella scared and we kept checking the parking lot to see if the Durango was still there and they didn’t leave us. When we finally found my mom and sis they were like whatever. Not us getting lost for 3 hours”

“The first time me and Jesus met was in 7th grade but we didn’t talk to each other nor knew we would become best friends… I went to La Paz middle school and Jesus went to El Sausal middle school. On wednesdays when school started late I had friends that went to el sausal and I decided to hang out with them on a late start day, I believe it was Gonzalo and Luis and others decided to hang out at a Winchells and Jesus was there too, didn’t say a word to each other that day. 2 years later we both did cross country and became best friends along with the rest of the guys”

“I met my big through our sorority and it was her ability to make me feel welcomed and our first interaction that stuck with me, ultimately leading me to know she was the big sister I always wanted. It was a campfire social and I wasn't a sister, but she came up to me, sat with me, and we immediately clicked. Since then, my big has been the most uplifting, supportive, caring, wild person i know! I can never thank her enough for the amount of times she's held my hair from a night of too much drinking, or wiping my tears from the mess of my life. From having not one, not two, but three ubers cancelling on me and Mitra having to carry me out of the car, to my big completely changing me into pjs and taking off my lashes, I knew they were going to be my family forever. I wouldn't have it any other way and I thank her for allowing me to be apart of this important milestone in her life. I love you big!! I wish nothing but love, peace, and greatness in your life!”

“When mitra was a senior and jorge and I were juniors we were on the varsity soccer team. Us 3 were always together; in the practices and on the bus. After our league and section title (second time in school history while ranked 1 in the state and 2 in the country), we had a parade around east Salinas. A funny moment towards the end, our driver in the convertible low rider started shouting “where’s battaglini!!??” Who is a teacher at the school and us three immediately bursted into laughter. It was a funny moment that culminated our championship winning season together.”

“I am so happy and grateful to have a friend like Cassie in my life. She is one of the strongest people And i admire her so much for it. She is so hilarious and makes me laugh and I feel like we understand each other. We became the closest during the pandemic as we were going through a major historical event together without knowing. We made our best of it. When the world was silent we partied in my apartment together and began working out and doing so many things together during quarantine. I almost felt guilty for having so much fun during a dark time but Cassie’s one if the reasons I got through so easily. Her company was so comforting. She’s so down to do anything and Our laughs and pendejadas brought us close and I thank god for us crossing paths. She’s taught me so much about self love and how to put myself first and I can’t wait what else is in store for us in the future. I couldn’t be more happy for Cassie and Jesus, congrats! Love you both so much”

"All the homies were chillin in the rec room at Sutter hall. I was whooping ass at ping pong, no one could beat me. Then our friend Isaiah comes in and introduces this short skinny kid from the dorm hall across from us.. He was smaller and looked younger, still had a peach fuzz mustache. Isaiah introduced him as Nieto, and the name stuck. We've been friends ever since."
