We first crossed paths during summer school in 2012, just before starting our freshman year at Bourgade Catholic. Although we were in different classes and didn’t talk much. Fate and a bit of playful teasing had other plans. On the last day of summer school, Damon made a joke at Cassandra’s expense, and she chased him around the school library trying to hit him, it was the perfect chaotic start. Although Cassandra didn’t end up attending Bourgade that fall due to family reasons, she clearly made a lasting impression. Over the years, Damon would occasionally check in with her close friend, always curious about how she was doing. Fast forward to June 2021, Damon posted a TikTok he thought was funny, and it caught Cassandra’s eye. She reached out, and that single message rekindled a connection nearly a decade in the making. From there, the conversation never stopped and now, here we are, writing our next chapter together. Over time, their love has grown into something strong, sincere, and full of care. Whether it’s little surprises, inside jokes, late-night talks, or thoughtful “just because” gestures, they’ve built a relationship rooted in kindness and intention. Damon, who once kept his emotions guarded, has found comfort and joy in Cassandra’s presence, her energy lights him up in a way no one else ever has. And Cassandra continues to fall deeper for the man who makes her laugh, makes her feel safe, and shows his love in quiet, meaningful ways. On May 27, 2023, God gave them the greatest gift of all, their son, Damon Tobias Dominguez. He is one of their biggest blessings yet, and just the beginning of all the good that’s to come. Their love, now even stronger as parents, is a bond rooted in faith, respect, and devotion, one you don’t often see in others. Damon will always adore Cassandra, not only as his partner, but as the most incredible mother to their son. Together, they’ve built something truly beautiful, and they can’t wait to continue growing as a family and seeing what God has in store for their future.
