Love & Joy!

Spending Saturday mornings sampling protein smoothies and natural lotions, we met in the Whole Body Department at Whole Foods. At work, we shared stories, laughs, and too many gummy vitamin samples. After Cassie left her position at Whole Foods, Charlie decided he couldn't get enough of her, and asked her out on a date. The rest is history.

We love hiking and spending time amongst the wildflowers and forest at Lapham Peak State Park. On a sunny, humid Friday before Labor Day weekend, our anniversary of becoming an official couple 8 years ago, we set off for a hike on the Ice Age Trail. After miles of talking about life during the pandemic & what life after the pandemic may look like, we found a good bench (Cassie loves a good bench). Enjoying a moment of rest, Charlie got down on one knee to take out Cassie's anniversary gift, which just so happened to be in a little blue box and asked, "Cassie, will you marry me?" She replied, "Yes, duh!"

In August 2021, we moved to Madison, Wisconsin. Charlie is currently enrolled at UW-Madison in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, studying hard. Cassie is working at Anana Elementary School in Madison as a 2nd grade classroom teacher. We love exploring restaurants & breweries, taking long walks through our neighborhood, dreaming of houses to buy, and hiking.
