During the COVID pandemic, it was nearly impossible to meet anyone. That did not stop the two of us. Grant and I met on a blind date at Long Horn Steakhouse. Anyone that knows me, is aware of my love for a good steak. We enjoyed a wonderful meal followed by playing darts. Grant and I had one major obstacle... distance. The drive from Lawrenceville to Athens is not ideal when you desire to see the person daily. We continue with texts and phone calls. We went on dates when we could and enjoyed the company of one another. Things began to get serious. There were discussions of taking the next step and buying a house. My dreams came true as the love of my life got down on one knee at a swinging bench beside The King and Prince. It is all history from there.
