Nope! It has never really been in our style to have a traditional wedding. But to have a wedding that is outdoors, camping, and campfire food...Yes! This is more what we are talkin about.
Some do! It'll cost ya though! For the rest of us there are communal showers/bathrooms for use for the tents that are sans a bathroom.
Post mini wedding ceremony we will celebrating by cooking out in the communal tent open for any guests to Under Canvas Zion. We will most likely be grilling out burgers, brats, etc. We will have some coolers to put drinks in, but if you plan on drinking a lot, be best prepared and bring along some extra drinks!
For other meals there is an on site restaurant at Under Canvas. They also provide to-go boxed lunches if you are hiking that day! Or you can treat it like any other camping trip and pack/bring what you would like to have. There are gas grills available on a first-come first-serve basis. For us, we will stock up in/around Vegas and store in a cooler.
More or less Casual. We will be dressing up, but once again not like the typical wedding ceremony. Think on the level of a beach wedding, but replace it with desert/mountain :)
The Ceremony will be at the Temple of Sinawava, which is the trailhead to the well-known Narrows hike. It is only a short distance from the parking lot (literally right next to it). No hiking is involved. A photo of the site can be found on the photos page!
Shuttles! When the shuttle is running no private vehicles are allowed on the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. The only access is by free shuttle bus. Free shuttles will leave frequently from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. There will be shuttle buses arriving at every stop every 7-10 minutes. Helpful links are under the Travel page.
According to Google the average weather in Zion National Park in October is 66 highs and 39 lows.
Let me know! I can try and pair you up with others to fill one of their 4 person tents.
