The story of Blenny (Blake Casillas and Jenny Barlow for those not accustomed to our “power couple” name) begins the summer of 2017 in the heart of sunny, beautiful San Diego California. As technology becomes more ubiquitous in our lives, so does its integration into the ritual of courtship. Like so many others in today’s world, Blake and Jenny were algorithmically matched in an online dating app in early June of 2017. But, do not let the process of logic and cold calculations fool you, the chemistry between Blake and Jenny was obvious from the outset of their relationship. Interaction between them began with daily conversations over text, learning more about each other and solidifying the foundation from which their newfound relationship would grow. On June 24th Blake asked Jenny to accompany him on their first date to Kato Sushi (Jenny’s favorite food!). There they enjoyed deliciously crafted sushi rolls followed by an evening walk along the beach. Unbeknownst to them, they had just written the first chapter to the rest of their lives.

Early June 2017 Blake and Jenny are matched! June 24th 2017 First date to Kato Sushi in Pacific Beach, Ca July 17th 2017 Blake ships out to United States Marine Corps Basic Training, coincidentally in San Diego, Ca (Yet couldn’t be farther from home!) marking the first challenge of their relationship, but don’t worry they wrote to each other at every opportunity! March 23rd 2018 Blake finally comes home from months of follow-on training for the Marine Corps, allowing them time to further build their relationship. February 1st 2019 Blake and Jenny Co-habitate! Together they sign their first rental agreement as a couple and utilize their compatibility to live happily in their new home. December 28th 2019 During their trip down California Sunset Highway 1, Blake offers Jenny her Great Grandmother’s beautiful diamond ring and asks her hand in marriage on the tranquil shores of Monterey California.
