We're getting married!

“WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT, LOVE WILL FIND YOU” AND WHEN IT DOES YOU WILL KNOW!!!!! A saying we all have heard at some point and it is TRUE! Anthony and Casie’s story started in September 2023 in Houston Texas where they were both apart of a Naval Officer recruiting trip. During this time they were all placed in groups to attend different colleges and high schools as outreach to the local students. Day one, Anthony and Casie were in completely opposite groups. Ending the day, all the groups met collectively to attend dinner at the popularly known restaurant “RA Sushi”. At this point, one could say this was their introduction to what is now about to become their FOREVER. Sitting next to one another that night conversation quickly arouse! Anthony and Casie found many similar interest amongst one another. Proceeding into day two, one could say fate intervened and suggested this was the perfect opportunity to ensure they would be side by side from that day forward. Literally…day two and the coming days they were placed in the same group just the two of them! Spending the week together, speaking to all the students while simultaneously getting to know one another. After each day they both found joy and excitement in ending the work day with dinner just the two of them learning more about each other. Even after dinner, Casie would go out on the town with Anthony and his fraternity brothers and friends! A great time was had, as they both reminisce on those times. They both have very intricate details and happy memories of their stay in Houston. The connection that was made in Houston was unexpected, unprompted but most importantly AUTHENTIC! Ending the week, Anthony and Casie realized that they both were stationed in Norfolk. The week they got back, Casie took a chance and sent the “did your flight make it back ok?” text. Anthony saw this as his perfect opportunity to continue the connection to something greater than either of them could imagine! Replying with a suggestion to hang out again for a dinner and movie date! A few days later,they ended up seeing the best actor ever Denzel Washington in Equalizer 3! Like all movie dates, it ended with a dinner overlooking the Virginia Beach Waterfront with never ending conversation. As the hours, days, weeks, and months passed the two became inseparable! During this time as strange as it sounds neither pushed to put a title on their special connection. They both agreed they were just “going with the flow of dating”. However; that was soon to change in a major way! “WHEN A MAN KNOWS SHE’S THE ONE…HE JUST KNOWS!” another saying we all have heard. It’s true leading into December 2023 Anthony went home to California to visit family for the Christmas holidays, while Casie stayed in Virginia. The whole time he was there, Anthony realized he was missing something and that home didn’t feel as fun to return to without his partner in crime, Casie. Family has always been important to Anthony and he wanted to share that with Casie. After shopping with his Grandmother and explaining his new found relationship with Casie, his Grandmother urged that if GOD placed her in his life, she is for you and not to lose out on a blessing made especially for him. At that moment he knew he didn’t want to be without Casie. He flew back early from California in December of 2023 and popped the BIG question! Casie confidently says… “It was the easiest question I’ve ever had to answer. I’m proud to be marrying a man with integrity standing on what he believes and what is right. Someone who will give his last to provide and protect me. The credibility of his words and most importantly his actions is why I can and will always say YES to him a million times over!”
