Jay and Casidee met through a family member, in 2021. Casidee didn't think anything of the brief encounter. After a pep talk from a friend, she decided to take a chance with Jay. Cas definitely made Jay work for it. Meanwhile, Jay knew he had to know Casidee. He would do everything in his power to. The relationship flourished from there. They talked for hours, through text, phone calls, and Facebook video call. At the time, Jay was living in Pierre and Casidee was living in Sioux Falls.
