What is “Formal / Black Tie Optional” attire?

Answer

Tuxedos are encouraged but not required. Alternative option: formal dark suit & tie Long, formal dresses (or jumpsuits) that are floor/gown or maxi/ankle length. High-low tapered is also welcome

Will the ceremony be held outdoors?

Answer

Yes, weather permitting. Outdoor ceremony site is on the grass, so plan your footwear accordingly (ie. stiletto heels are at risk of sinking into the dirt, light colors could get stained, etc) Rain location: Inside Fishermen’s Inn, ground floor

What time should I arrive at Fishermen’s Inn?

Answer

4:40 PM to allow for enough time to walk through the gardens to the ceremony site. We will start promptly at 5:00 PM

What times are the shuttles?

Answer

To Ceremony: 4:15 PM departures from Hotel Arista and Fairfield Inn & Suites. Please be in the lobby ready to board at 4:00 PM From Reception: 10:15, 11:15 & 11:30 PM return trips stopping at both hotels From After Party: 12:30, 1:00 & 1:30 AM trips from Hotel Arista after party to Fairfield Inn & Suites

Is Uber/Lyft available in Elburn?

Answer

Yes, but rides are limited and expensive (expected cost: $70+) Recommendation: Take the return shuttle to Hotel Arista in Naperville where there will be more drivers available and you’re closer to the city. (Grab a night cap with us at Zorba Cocktail Bar in the lobby while you wait for your ride!)

Will there be childcare available at the venue?

Answer

For out of town guests traveling with little ones, we can hire local babysitters as needed. There will be a designated room at Fishermen’s Inn, so feel free to bring any toys or bedtime supplies. Local guests: Please make your own arrangements with sitters/family.
