The day we got engaged 💕

07.05.19

I had been expecting Tristan to propose for a couple of months. It was the week of the 4th of July and my mom and brother came to visit for the week/weekend. Tristans parents were also in town at the time. I had it in my head he would propose on the 4th of July since that was actually the day we met 2 years earlier. The day came and went. We went to the 4th of July parade, cooked out & watched the fire works that evening. NOTHING HAPPENED. I was a little disappointed. The following day, we were going to Goodfella’s Pizzeria for dinner with my family & his. I didnt think anything was going to happen, even when everyone was being super secretive and whispering. At one point Tristan was talking to my little brother about what type of gun he was going to buy soon. That ticked me off. I laid into him and told him a thing or two about a thing or two. That pretty much made me believe I wasnt going to get engaged anytime soon. After dinner, we all went back to Tristans parents house for some cake and ice cream. All the girls rode together, we were going to pick ice cream up while the boys drove a head to the house. When we pulled up to Tristans parents house and got out of the car, I heard Eloise, our pup, barking. I thought that was weird since she was suppose to be at home, lol. Then I walked to the back yard and the most beauitful set up had been arranged (thanks Renee) with Tristan seated & a little sign around Eloise’s neck asking me the best question Ive been waiting on. Then I turned around to see all of our friends and family standing behind us. This was the happiest day of my life and was so excited to spend it with family & friends! 💕
