Casey & Yawei are having a wedding celebration near Missoula, MT on Saturday, May 31 and would really love your presence!
*UPDATE 5/27* It's going to be HOT. 90s. The ceremony and later on the music & games will be outside. Wear something light & breathable. Have sunglasses & sunscreen on hand. Wear a hat. Have a hankerchief to wet. Consider a parasol. Don't leave dogs in the car. Cocktail hour, dinner, toasts etc will be inside an open-air barn. See Schedule tab for recommended styles. Don't wear nothing too fancy, we're having a party outside under the Big Sky and we want you to be comfortable. It is Montana at the start of summer, so be prepared for literally every type of weather event you can imagine. (Think lightning-tornado-avalanches https://youtu.be/BNrfPie-UlA?si=hx43_KDTIaIu1lmN ) But really, have some options with your layers. It could be hot, and the Montana sun is nothing to mess with, bring a hat if you are sensitive. The reception will be inside a structure, however. Wear comfortable/sturdy footwear that you don't mind if it gets wet or dirty. Boots, chacos, whatever. We are setting the style trends! BRING A RAIN/WIND SHELL. You may not need it, but if you do and don't have one, you'll regret it. The temps in Montana can drop quickly and drastically at night, so if you are not used to that, make sure and have warm outer layers. Also if you are playing gelande quaff, choose clothing accordingly. =)
Missoula has a host of hotels and AirBnBs available. There is also camping options.
Yes, there is dry RV and tent/car camping available at no charge at the venue. There is also camping in the surrounding area.
See Travel section. There are more and more flights into Missoula these days, though it probably requires layovers unless you are traveling from major west coast/mountain west cities. Take a road trip and see the beautiful country. Take the train or bus. Hitchhike =) If you are planning to drive to the venue from Missoula- Get on I-90 East for a few miles Take the Bonner exit onto MT-200 Continue on MT-200 for ~18 miles At mile marker 19, just past the bar on the left, turn right onto Potomac Rd Continue for 1 mile then turn right onto Swanson Ln Venue is about half a mile down on the right at the silos. You should see the silos from afar. Park at the house or on the side of the road. We'll have a plan.
Kiddos are welcome! We are hoping to have some kid-friendly games available. Keep in mind you are in grizzly country, and there is lots of wildlife around, as well as potentially livestock.
Certainly! If you don't see your full party on your guest info, please add them and RSVP by April 30. If you are having trouble or not sure just reach out to Casey or Yawei directly!
Venue is fine with dogs. However you are responsible to keep them under control at all times. There is wildlife, livestock, and a highway nearby. So having them roam around is not a good idea.
There will be a shuttle to the venue from downtown Missoula, about a 30 minute drive, that gets you there with some time to spare before the ceremony. There will be a couple of shuttles back to downtown Missoula, where you are welcome to continue the night at the best local watering holes!
Please RSVP before April 30th, preferably sooner!
A raucous beer drinking game. If you don't do beer it can also be enjoyed with alcohol free beverages. =)
