We're getting married!

Casey and Yani first crossed paths at a beer festival in Downtown New Haven. Casey noticed Yani with a friend and was instantly captivated. Wanting to approach her without being too forward, he suggested they play a game of giant Connect 4, which Yani eagerly agreed to, thanks to her competitive nature. After Casey won the game, he invited Yani to a football match, as he was an assistant coach at the time. Yani, who had just moved from Puerto Rico to pursue her PhD dreams at Yale, had only seen football games in movies, so she was excited to attend her first one. Casey made sure her name was on the guest list, and from that day on, Yani hasn’t missed a game. Now, with Yani well into her graduate studies at Yale and Casey as a head football coach, they play connect four in their cozy home shared with an adorable crazy orange kitten and are thrilled to share their love story with everyone on their wedding day.
