Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Camp Clark - Cloverdale, OR 97112 **Note: please type "Camp Clark" in your preferred GPS app as their mailing address (17500 Cape Lookout Rd, Cloverdale, OR 97112) will take you to the mailbox location with a locked gate that is well before the venue. There will be signage for our wedding at the pull off for the venue so if you do not see a sign for Tyler + Casey then you are at the wrong location and need to drive up the road further. **There is limited phone service North of Pacific City so this is a crucial step** If you’re arriving from out-of-state, plan to fly into PDX Airport. Car rental is available directly from the airport. Driving from Portland, the easiest route is to take OR-6 to Tillamook, then US-101 to Sandlake Rd. Camp Clark is easy to find via GPS!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Option 1 - Pacific City is the closest town. (about 20 min from the venue) We will be providing a shuttle from the Cape Kiwanda Parking lot (in between the Pelican Pub and Headlands). There are houses you can rent through VRBO and Airbnb. They tend to fill up fast as this is a popular summer destination. Another option is to stay in Cloverdale near the venue, but we will advise it's very rural and residential so you'd have to drive to restaurants and activities. Below are some hotels we also recommend in Pacific City. Let us know which lodging option you are choosing in the RSVP (coming soon) Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa Pacific City Inn Anchorage Motel Cape Kiwanda Inn Option 2 - Camping at the venue is free. Camp Clark has 7 large camping areas, each with multiple Adirondacks - 2-person wooden structures with metal roofs, canvas doors, and wood platform bunks. Each campsite has a shared picnic table, campfire ring, outhouse, and handwashing station. If you're planning to stay in an Adirondack, sleeping bags and sleeping pads will be necessary. Check in is Friday July 18th at 2pm and check out is 2pm Sunday July 20th. Please text Tyler or Casey if you want to see photos of the accommodations before deciding. Tent camping is also available - Guests may set up tents in any of the camping areas. Additionally, there is a field that we will designate for tent camping. For vehicle camping, most of the Adirondack pods have parking available. RVs/Campers will need to park in the central parking lot, and hookups are unfortunately not available. The camp shares a single shower house which contains 8 individual shower rooms with mirrors and power outlets. Please plan accordingly when you’re getting ready on Saturday! The campsites do not have electricity. There are outlets available in the showers and in the dining hall for charging devices during the daytime. There is some cell service at Camp Clark, but we’d recommend embracing being unplugged from your devices!

Question

Is there parking at the venue or shuttle transportation to the venue?

Answer

There is parking at the venue for day of the wedding, but we encourage all guests not staying at the venue to take the shuttle we will provide from Pacific City. It will pick up from and drop off to the Cape Kiwanda public parking lot. Located in between the Pelican Pub and Headlands Coastal lodge and Spa. Note: there will be two return shuttles one departing the venue at 10pm and a late night 12am shuttle.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For reference, the overall wedding theme is coastal modern. Smart casual and beach cocktail attire. This is NOT a traditional wedding so please feel free to express yourself. Bring the fashion and don your best glam! **No shorts or flip flops please** Please wear appropriate footwear. The terrain is sand and grass so we would advise a block heel over a stiletto.

Question

What will the weather be like at the Oregon coast in July?

Answer

The Oregon coast’s rainy season is typically over by June. Average temperatures can be anywhere from 70-80°F or 21-26°C during the day, and around 50°F or 10°C at night. Oregon temperatures and weather can fluctuate wildly, so we recommend bringing a mix of summer clothes as well as a raincoat and warm layers for night time and the mornings. The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and the reception will be a mix. Food will be served inside and the dance floor and lounge area will be outside.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children and/or pets?

Answer

This will be an adults-only wedding. We love your children and animals, but due to venue restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under age 16 or any furry friends on our wedding day. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:30pm so please plan to arrive 10-15 min early. If you are taking the shuttle, no need to worry as it will be scheduled to arrive on time.
