It's summertime and so a beach is an obvious choice destination. VA Beach is right next door and the boardwalk has multiple restaurants and sights to see.
The Mariners' Museum and Park
The mariner's museum was Grandaddy Surry and his wife Grandmawl Marie's favorite summer location to take their grandchildren. At least once every summer they would visit here and take in the nautical knowledge. Maybe this is part of why Surry couldn't get away from propellers...
