We love your kids, but we are not able to accommodate them at the wedding. We apologize for any inconvenience and acknowledge this may impact ability to attend.
Formal dress is requested: long dresses, suits and ties, and generally dressier attire. No jeans or white dresses, please. Guests are encouraged (but not required!) to wear bright colors and patterns, fun silhouettes, unique accessories, etc for a "funky" formal vibe. Feel free to get creative and dress for joy!
Yes, there are multiple free lots near the venue available, just follow signage for the Madrid Theatre.
While we are not providing transportation, Kansas City's free, public streetcar will be running (there is a stop right by the venue and right in front of the Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza that we have a room block at), and Uber and Lyft are available in the area. Please leave time for traffic when deciding when to head to the venue - Kansas City is perpetually under construction.
All events take place indoors at the Madrid Theatre.
Whether you have a plus one will be indicated on your invitation. Any uninvited guests and whoever brought them will be escorted off site by security. There is absolutely no acceptable reason to bring an uninvited guest.
The venue opens at 5 PM CT and the ceremony begins at 5:30 PM CT. Please do not be late - guests that arrive after the ceremony begins will not be permitted to enter until it concludes and cocktail hour has begun.
As much as we love our furry friends, they will not be attending. They are too cute and would steal the show.
This answer will be updated closer to the wedding, but October can vary widely in Kansas City, sometimes quite warm and sometimes quite cold.
Our traditional wedding reception will end at 9:30 PM. At that time, the vibe will shift into more of an after party, which will include less appropriate music and dancing. The after party will end at 11 PM. Please choose to leave at the time that best serves your sensibilities.
