Maid of Honor
Although we don't remember meeting, Kacie and I technically met in Kinder Ballet. However, it wasn't until the beginning of middle school that we finally became friends. Honestly, I have no idea how she's put up with me for so long, but I'm glad she's stuck around. She is definitely the Cristina Yang to my Meredith Grey, and I don't think I could even think about getting married without her by my side.
Best Man
Jordan and I first met in eighth grade when we ended up at the same lunch table. Not only have we been a part of three different friend groups together, but we have also had the same love interests (he was usually more successful there). Thankfully, we never fought over Casey. Every time I have pictured my wedding, even though the bride I imagined has changed a few times, the idea that Jordan would be my best man has remained the same.
Matron of Honor
Brenna and I first met when she was a summer intern for the youth group that I was attending during high school. She was my mentor for years, and if it weren't for Brenna, who knows what kind of person I would be. She's always there to give me the hard truth no matter what. I have no doubt that she'll lovingly keep me in check before I turn into a bridezilla.
Groomsman
Even though Forrest and I haven't known each other for that long, when thinking about who I can turn to for advice on being a good husband, seeing the way Forrest loves Brenna gives him all the credentials he needs. He may have only said yes because his wife made him, but I'm excited to have someone as reliable and fun as Forrest to support me on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I were definitely forced to be friends. What else are you supposed to do when you're forced to share a room with your new step-sister? All jokes aside, I'm so glad that Rachel is both my sister and my best friend. She might think otherwise since I conned her out of the big bedroom when our brother moved out. Anyways, I can't wait to have her by my side on that special day.
Groomsman
Because I was the only boy growing up, I've always wondered what it would be like to have a brother. I got a taste of that when my sister married Parker, but because I've lived with Will even before Casey and I started dating, I now have a closer frame of reference. Will is incredibly loyal and genuine. Other than being crazy about cats, I couldn't asked for a better roommate and second brother.
Bridesmaid
When I first saw Mykah before our sophomore year of high school, I remember thinking "I could never be friends with someone that edgy and popular. I also bet she's a slacker." That all changed when I realized that Mykah is such a hardworking, loyal, and dedicated person. I've learned so much from her, I'm so glad she'll be there with me as I enter this new season of life.
Groomswoman
Ara and I fought like any two siblings would, but as soon as she got to the age where she didn't relentlessly harass me, we became best friends, especially after we started playing Fortnite together. And even though she moved to Denver to escape Dallas (and me), I’m glad she's still forced to come back to spend time with me during holidays and family vacations.
