Casey proposed on Thanksgiving in front of my whole family. While playing a game of Uno Casey was ready to lay out a Draw 4 on me. Instead he laid out "the ring". I was so surprised I was speechless.
God's Desires Became our Desires
Casey and I met back in 2018 at New Manchester Elementary. At the time I was going through a very hard divorce and Casey had just lost his wife. Casey spoke at my school and his words meant more than encouragement for teachers to stay the course. His words woke up in me the will to keep going. For the next two years I would see Casey at trainings and we always shared insightful and uplifting words for one another. I remember at some point petitioning God for my heart's desire of being a wife again. I did not know who but I knew this was a desire he gave. God showed me I knew him already. In 2020 I transferred schools and everything started lining up to where I had to be in direct contact with Casey and attend more trainings, lol. It then became clear when I heard God loud and clear say "Help Him" . I knew at that point that God's desire was for me not to just be loved, but to pour the love he has for me unto another . This is how our Love story began. God took us both from a journey of healing, to being healed through his love given to us.
