There are several hiking trails around North Lake Tahoe that have scenic views of the lake o Eagle Rock Trailhead: (1 Mile) Highly recommend if you have limited time but want to see stunning views of the lake (picture at the top of this page is from this hike) o Tahoe East Shore Trail: Nicely paved 3-mile path along the shoreline o Stateline Lookout: (1.5 miles) Perfect hike for families
North Lake Tahoe Beaches: o King’s Beach (Our #1 recommendation), Commons Beach, and Sand Habor Beach Rentals: o North Tahoe Paddle (Kayak & Paddleboards) – Near King’s Beach o Tahoe City Kayak & Paddleboards – Near Commons Beach o Sunnyside Marina (Boat, Jet ski, and water sports lessons available)
Bikes are available to rent in the Village at Palisades Tahoe. We recommend starting in the Village and following the path along the Truckee River to Tahoe City. This is a 10.6 mile out-and-back trail and it takes on average 3 h 16 min. We suggest taking a lunch break in Tahoe City at River Grill, Tahoe Tap House or Bridgetender Tavern & Grill.
