Rochester Jazz Fest
Festival happening in the Grove Place neighborhood surrounding the Eastman School of Music campus, Friday June 23-Saturday July 1. Lots of free shows and ticketed events. Check the jazz fest website closer to the event for more info!

Rochester Public Market
Spend Saturday AM before the wedding exploring the public market, drinking a cup of Java's coffee and enjoying an amazing empanada from Juan and Maria's!
Mount Hope Cemetery
Founded in 1838, Mt. Hope was the first municipal cemetery in the United States. It is an amazing place to walk around. Visit the burial sites of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass while you are there!
George Eastman Museum
Walking distance from both hotels on East Ave, check out the mansion & gardens, photo & film collections and small film screenings at the theater.
Village Gate Square
Walking distance from our hotels, find multiple restaurants, artist spaces and home of the Lucky Flea vintage market on Sundays all summer long!
Highland Park
Where our wedding ceremony will take place - be sure to take time to check out the grounds before or after. There is an arboretum, flower gardens and an indoor plant conservatory! Unfortunately the famous lilacs won't be in season.
Wegmans
If you've never been.. trust us. You gotta stop at Wegmans. We prefer the East Ave location. Get a sub and a chocolate chip cookie, and understand why western NY folks rave so much about their grocery chain!
Party in the Park
If you make it to town Thursday night, head to Martin Luther King Jr. Park for live music!
Canandaigua Lake
If you're in town for a while make sure to hit up one NY's Finger Lakes!
Letchworth State Park
Follow the Genesee River over to Letchworth for a beautiful day trip out of the city!
Irondequoit Bay
Make your way north to Irondequoit Bay, which flows into Lake Ontario. While you're up here, be sure to stop at Marge's Lakeside Inn and Don's Original for an authentic experience.

Casey's prior place of employment & where we first met. This bar is real special to us! Head upstairs for a whiskey.. maybe you will meet a cute bartender wearing a vest.
Lux Lounge
Did anyone say "cheeseburger shots" ? The best little dive bar in town. Fire pit, pool table, twister dance floor.. what more could you want? Stop in on Thursday night for dancing, Friday night for live music or a drag show - but you might want to skip it on Saturday night.. we poached the DJ for our shindig! Make sure you try the $3 "pabst smear" special while you're there!

Country Club Diner
Do you love cheap coffee, classic diner food and sweet waitresses in pink polos? Stop in to a favorite spot of ours, especially if you've just gotten off a night shift at the hospital or late night bar shift. Fun fact - Casey and Meg went on their "first date" here (with their best bud Allison, who unknowingly was playing matchmaker).
Watkins Glen
Looking for a road trip? Head down to Watkins Glen, NY.. the home of Casey Holland! Race cars, a beautiful state park, Seneca Lake and wineries galore! While you're at it, head east to Ithaca, NY - another one of our favorite towns!
Oneida
A trip to Upstate would not be complete without stopping along I-90 in the little town of Oneida, NY. Check out where the Blair & Casella families have long called home. We recommend eating all of the soft serve & pizza you possibly can, learning about the spooky history of the Oneida Community mansion house (check out those trees, we know the Arborist!), stopping down to Sylvan Beach for a swim in Oneida Lake and a ride on the Bomber and of course, visiting the casino in our back yard.
For folks traveling from out of state...
Let us know if you are looking for any northeastern road trip recommendations! The Hudson Valley, NYC, the Adirondacks, New England, head on up to Canada.. you name it! We are from a beautiful little corner of the country with so much to see & do, especially in the summertime. Don't forget your bathing suits!
