Matt moved to New York City in need of a roommate and he ended up moving in with Casey's best friend, (and now Maid of Honor!) Kate. Kate spoke fondly of Matt and Casey to each other for months and they finally met one night when Casey was over at Matt and Kate's apartment making signs for the Women's March with Kate. Matt conveniently showed up at the apartment with two bottles of wine for the three of them to share as they came up with punny feminist slogans together. One month later, Matt and Casey were reunited at Kate's birthday party. Matt and Casey spent the night huddled at the bar laughing and exchanging stories over cocktails and eventually shared their first kiss that night and have been together ever since. Casey is just glad Kate isn't mad at her for stealing her roommate.
