Our story began on January 27, 2024, in Aspen, on beautiful Snowmass Mountain. We were both staying in the same ski-in, ski-out Airbnb with mutual friends, completely unaware that we were about to meet the loves of our lives. Earlier that night, we had actually been at the same bar in downtown Aspen, but fate decided to save our first meeting for later that evening — in the hot tub back at the house overlooking the beautiful, iconic, snow-glistening slopes. The moment we met, it truly felt like love at first sight. Casey asked Lexy where she was originally from and what brought her to Colorado. To his surprise, Lexy shared that she was from Pennsylvania and that her family lived in Clarks Summit. Casey, who is from Jacksonville, Florida, shared that he also had family in Clarks Summit, and we instantly connected over what a small world it truly is. From that moment on, we both felt like we had just met the love of our lives. The rest of the trip was filled with watching X Games athletes on Buttermilk Mountain, cozy nights, concerts, and the kind of connection that felt effortless and meant to be. When we discovered that we lived only four minutes apart in Denver, we knew what we had was something truly special. After getting to know each other better, we made things official on April 8, 2024 — just three months later. A few months after that, in July, we moved in together. Vinny, our mini labradoodle, quickly formed the sweetest bond with Casey and became our favorite little travel and adventure buddy. We still love spending our days on the slopes — Lexy skiing and Casey snowboarding — just like where it all began in Aspen, where a chance encounter turned into a lifetime of love.

In August 2025, Casey and Lexy set off on a cruise to Greece, excited for adventure and soaking up every moment together. One of the most anticipated stops was Santorini—and that morning started a little earlier (and hungrier) than planned. Determined not to miss the boat to the island, they skipped breakfast entirely. Unfortunately, Lexy without coffee is not the happiest camper. Once on Santorini, Casey and Lexy made their way to the charming village of Oia, instantly falling in love with the island’s breathtaking beauty and its iconic blue-domed churches overlooking the sea. Sensing the moment—and Lexy’s growing need for caffeine—Casey found the perfect café with a stunning view of the blue domes, where Lexy could finally order coffee and breakfast. As soon as Lexy took her first sip and her mood noticeably improved, Casey knew it was time. With Santorini’s unforgettable scenery all around them, Casey got down on one knee and asked the most important question: “Will you marry me?” Lexy immediately said yes, overcome with emotion and happiness, and dropped to the floor as the moment truly sank in. The celebration didn’t stop there. The rest of the trip was spent in London, where Casey and Lexy explored everything the city had to offer—touring spectacular sights, indulging in incredible food, and soaking up every moment together as newly engaged. Over afternoon tea, they joyfully shared their big news with friends and family, marking the beginning of their next chapter together.
