If you're coming from out of town, there's obviously many national buildings and monuments to visit! Reserve tickets to go to the top of the Washington Monument and overlook the city, take a walking tour of the U.S. Capitol, or take a walk around the Tidal Basin if the Cherry Blossoms happen to be out! Our engagement photos were taken at the Jefferson Memorial :)
There's so many free museums to visit, but two of our favorites are the Natural History Museum and the Air and Space Museum!
Georgetown has a beautiful waterfront and main strip (M street) with plenty of shops and fun restaurants. If you visit, you have to try BAKED & WIRED (the best coffee and cupcakes in the city, in our humble opinion).
In Navy Yard and the Wharf (also close to the venue), here are a few casual restaurants to try: -Atlas Brew Works (brewery with pizza) -Mi Vida (Mexican restaurants with great margs and a cool vibe) -Emmy Squared pizza -Takorean (great lunch spot with Korean tacos)
