I met Casey my first time at a Beach Camp of 2019. It was my first experience with my now home church, Parkside. I instantly grew to love the community and began developing a relationship with Jesus at this point. I would go to the weekly youth group Parkside had every Wednesday. Casey would also go. I also started to hang out with the same group he hung out with in high school. It wasn't hard to notice how good of a guy Casey was. He was a quiet guy in high school, but he had these moments where he would be so goofy and that definitely caught my attention. I remember I would always have these small interactions with him, but for some reason I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about them. I guess you could call it a small crush, but I never thought it would ever go anywhere. It took Kara and I a couple of tries but we always knew we were circling the same result. In 2022, Kara and I were reminded of the measure of our individual dorkiness. Having a good time together was never a struggle for us, so maybe, being a few years older, we could actually make this thing happen. Over the 3-year period that Kara and I dated we fell further and further in love with doing life together. Coffee dates, late night drives, and demolishing ice cream facilitated a great deal of us growing into a life partnership. Finally, in May 2025 I decided to ask the love of my life "Will you marry me?"
