WHAT AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?

Answer

Grand Rapids is the closest airport to Saugatuck, roughly a 50-minute drive (40 minutes if you're a Jersey driver)! If you have time to spare, the Chicago Midway Airport is roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes to Saugatuck.

SHOULD WE RENT A CAR?

Answer

Although the town is walkable and the ceremony is a short distance from the reception, we recommend renting a car to travel to and from the airport. Saugatuck and neighboring towns have much to offer, so if you have some extra time, go out and explore Lake Michigan! Please keep in mind, Ubers and Lyfts do not operate in this area.

I`M COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN, WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

Answer

Although Saugatuck is small, there are plenty of AirB&Bs and hotels to choose from! The town is walkable so we recommend staying downtown. We understand there are many high-cost accommodations in this area so please see the travel tab at the top of the page for cost-efficient options.

WHERE IS THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

The ceremony will be at the First Congregational Church in Saugatuck, and the reception will be at The Gifford`s summer cottage. Ceremony Address - 267 Hoffman Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453 Reception Address - 890 Holland Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453

WHAT TIME IS THE CEREMONY?

The ceremony will begin at 3pm. Please arrive no later than 2:45pm.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is summer formal attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie. No jeans, please! Ladies, please do your best to avoid shades of light blue and take into consideration that the reception will be in the grass. Thicker wedged heels are recommended, not required. The weather might still be a bit chilly in Michigan, so a jacket is recommended.

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Answer

Due to the limited space, we can only accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invite will be made out to "(Your Name) & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding!

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

Answer

Unless your children are listed on your invite, this is an adult-only event! If you have any questions, please reach out to either Josh or Casey.
