Jacob hounded his mom all day long (because he was grounded) to go to Casey's 16th birthday party because he planned on asking her out. All day it was "Mom come on this is the girl I'm gonna marry one day and if you don't let me go it'll never happen and I'll wind up all alone or marrying some skank that you won't like" and "Please mom, I'll be grounded tomorrow, all week, all month for that matter, just please not tonight, don't let me be grounded tonight" and things like that until finally after 6 hours of this she gives it up and yells at him "Go Jacob Good Lord son you are driving me insane, but know this, your education is more important than some ol' girl and when she's long gone and you have blown through all these others before you actually meet the woman you are going to marry that education will be there to support her because nobody marries the gal they meet at 16 I mean my Goodness son!" Jokes on mom. That night Casey turned him down but luckily she reversed this decision and here we are and so blessed that she did.
