Nope! You will be in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, away from the hussle and bussle of the big cities, meaning no Ubers. With that, you will need to book your ground transportation to and from the Tuscan region, from the airport, in advance.
Although not required, this is highly recommended. We recommend renting a car to give you the most flexibility along your travels, especially if you are planning to visit any other town within Tuscany on your trip. As a reminder, shuttles will be provided to the welcome dinner and wedding.
Transportation will be provided to all weekend events including the welcome dinner, wedding and pool party. If you book a hotel outside of our recommended hotels, you will be responsible for your own transportation to each wedding event.
We recommend arriving to your hotel the early afternoon of Friday, May 30th and leaving the morning of Monday, June 2nd (if you are staying for the pool party!). Before/after, we recommend exploring other parts of Tuscany, Florence, Rome… or anywhere your heart desires!
We recommend booking your flight at least 3 months in advance. Do not forget to renew your passport if needed :)
Itinerary (4-5 day trip): - Fly into Rome/Florence - spend 1 day and night - 3 nights in Tuscany for wedding celebrations (Friday - Monday) - Fly home Monday out of Rome/Florence
Please see the ‘things to do’ section!
We will be serving dinner on Friday, dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday as part of the wedding events. Hotels may include breakfast in your room reservations. Please see the "Things to Do" tab for additional restaurant recommendations in the area. If you plan to visit any of the towns/beach towns, there will be several restaurants there as well.
Yes! See options below 1. Coop Grocery: 47 Via Grossetana, Sticciano Scalo, Toscana 58036 (2 mins from venue) 2. Conrad Grocery: 9 Viale Senegal, Grosseto, Toscana 58100 (15 mins from venue) 3. Braccagni Pharmacy: Braccagni, Grosseto 58100, Italy (7 mins from venue)
You will need an Italian travel adapter for phone/laptop/etc. Please note that most US hairdryers/styling tools are too strong for Italian outlets, most hotels will provide hairdryers if needed. We would suggest checking with them beforehand. For styling tools, only dual voltage styling tools or those designed to handle 230 volts (with the correct adapter) will work in Italy. We would recommend either purchasing a converter or a dual voltage travel hair straightener/curler if you plan to use any styling tools.
Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only affair.
