We actually grew up in same hometown, but did not know each other at the time. We had many mutual friends, even went to the same pool, but our paths never crossed. We officially met in college when I was a sophomore, Casey a junior, at UNCC from a mutual friend. I was not interested in having a boyfriend at the time, but Casey quickly proved himself to be different than the rest.

Our proposal story is my favorite, because Casey actually did not plan to do it that day. We were with Casey's family at a winery in Lexington, NC. It was definitely a special place to us because Casey's dad helped build part of it. Casey did not even bring the ring with him, since he had no intention of proposing. At some point, he changed his mind. I didn't even notice his sister and dad had left to go back to the house to grab the ring. When taking pictures, Casey got down on one knee. Easiest YES of my life!! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you all.
