We met on a dating site called Bumble where both the woman and man have to swipe right to match, but the first message is required to be sent by the woman first. Of course I have no problem with saying hi first. We messaged, then finally exchanged numbers on that friday and talked for hours and had to meet in person the next day. Crazy thing was we were both born and raised in Hayward, but never met before as we went to different schools and Chris was two grades younger than me. When we met for the first time for lunch at Lazy Dog in Dublin Chris was at the bar getting a drink to calm his nerves and I came behind him touched his arm to say hi, and he tells me that that touch gave him chills. We clicked and it was an instant connection, so much so that we just wanted to sit next to each other in the booth. 💕 We had to go our separate ways as I was heading to the battle of the bay game with my family, but Chris came to see me the next day after work and it has been history since.
We went on a two week long trip visiting 7 National Parks and of course he waited until almost the last park and last day we planned a hike for Angel’s Landing to propose. Honestly it was a surprise to me as I didnt think he even bought a ring yet. We went ring shopping and at that store they said they were going to be having a big sale on July 18th and so he said he planned to go back, but little did I know he had already bought a ring before we even went there. Lol The hike was amazing even though our bodies were tired and feet were sore, we had amazing views! It was an unforgetable day even though we couldnt hike to the top of Angel’s landing Chris added a very special moment to our life when he proposed!
