Ruth is a strong as the ocean. Ruth is Ellen's big sister, and while they didn't always see eye to eye growing up, they are now on the same page about nearly everything. They are so intuned with each other that they can communicate just with looks. Their bond has only grown and gotten stronger over the years, even when separated by the sea and only able to connect via phone. And now that Ruth and her husband are in Napa, for the time being, Ellen can't imagine getting married without Ruth by her side. She is the steadfast anchor for the Oberting family boat.
Jared Jolley
Best Man
Jared is tough as nails and is the logical one in the group. Casey and Jared first met during their freshman year of high school while commuting to school on the bus. They soon were forced to be friends because they were some of the few that took the late bus from Napa to Fairfield. Luckily they shared the same interests, like cars, computers, and music. Casey can rely on Jared to be there for the occasional truck haul or just for a neighborly BBQ. He has been by Casey's side as a friend, a conduit of knowledge, and a moral compass.
Chelsea Boyd
Maid of Honor
Chelsea is smart, sophisticated, and crafty. Ellen met Chelsea in the Business Honors Program at Sacramento State back in Fall of 2015 and hit it off in their first group project. While they haven't known each other long, Ellen has always been able to count on Chelsea to help push Ellen to do her best academically, and socially. Chelsea has incredible organizational, party, and feminine flair skills that Ellen loves. Since graduating, they make time to see each other by getting coffee at Tupelo's Coffee and Roasting.
Aaron Baird
Groomsman
Aaron is a person Casey found he could talk to for hours, even if those hours are 80% nonsense. Casey and Aaron first met at Jared's birthday event during high school, but their friendship did not sprout till the two started at Solano Community College. Casey soon found himself drinking coffee at the local Peet's and watching the cars drive by with Aaron. They worked together in the restaurant business and both witnessed each other's fantastic work ethic. Now Aaron lives in Sacramento, as neighbors to both Casey and Jared. Their friendship has turned into something they would have never guessed.
Hillary Wysocki
Bridesmaid
Hillary is more than simply "Casey's sister" to Ellen. Hillary had an open heart to Ellen ever since they first met each other and greets Ellen every time with a great big hug! She is always jam-packed with enthusiasm and has fun ideas up her sleeves. Hillary recently had her wedding at the beginning of 2017 and has been a wealth of knowledge and support to Ellen through the wedding planning process. Hillary has a knack for getting what she needs and Ellen knows she can count on Hillary to help her find the best deals.
Stephen Ellis
Groomsman
Stephen is intelligent, curious, and a sweetheart. Whether it be a new beer, a cruise, or one of Vallejo's colorful bars, he is always looking for the next adventure and is always there to make sure others experience his new finds as well. He has been there for Casey when times have been hard, always lending out a hand no matter the circumstance. Even when that hand is serving a ping pong ball, he managed to better Casey's game and life one way or another.
