Dallas and Casey met in 2016, on their way to an away game to San Juan High School, on a random away game when baseball and softball shared a bus. On the ride home, Casey took control of the speaker and started to play old school country. Which peaked Dallas' interest. She looked back and unknowingly kicked off their story. Later that night, Casey sent Dallas a message, and the conversation stuck. Casey found a reason to see Dallas more often by convincing her friend, Francis, to come to his church's youth group — knowing Dallas would tag along too. By 2017, Dallas and Casey officially started dating. Their relationship quickly turned into long distance when Casey joined the United States Marine Corps. Over the next four years, they learned how to stay connected across states, time zones, and even continents. From Oklahoma to Twenty Nine Palms, and eventually deployment overseas, they made it work through letters, late-night calls, and constant support — even when they were separated by a 15 hour time difference. During that time, Dallas moved to Santa Barbara for college. Being five hours apart felt like progress, and weekends together became something to look forward to. Even with the distance, they always knew they were working toward the same goal — a future in the same place. When Casey finished his military service and Dallas graduated, they both moved back to their hometown, officially ending the long-distance chapter. With Casey home, he became Dallas’s biggest supporter as she worked toward becoming a sonographer. Not long after they moved, they brought home their puppy, Dixie, and started building a life together. Eight years after a shared bus ride and country music, Dallas and Casey are grateful for every chapter that led them here and can't wait to celebrate their marriage with you!
