We met in the alumni call center while enrolled at the University of Miami. Claudia was an undergrad on the premed track consistently on the leaderboard for donations. Casey was in grad school, buried in school work, and liked the call center because he was able to do school work while making his calls. Casey remembers the moment that he laid eyes on Claudia while walking into work that day. Claudia was on the phone with her little sister and didn't even notice him walk by. They would eventually be introduced by a mutual friend at the job, Bianca, who happened to be sitting between them one day. They quickly hit it off talking about lacrosse and Casey's dog, Carter. Eventually, Casey worked up the courage to ask if she wanted to hang out outside of the job and they planned a trip to the intramural fields to throw the ball around and meet Carter, the main attraction.

Once he had the ring in hand, Casey started planning how he would pop the question. They had planned on going wine tasting for Claudia's birthday so he thought this would be a good opportunity. He was a little hesitant about stealing attention away from Claudia's special day which he knew she typically wants everything to be perfect so he called her sister and friend to get their opinion on if it was a good idea to do it then or not. The feedback was a resounding yes and from there he booked a photographer to hide out in the back of the vineyard until he gave the signal. It was a vineyard they had been to before and grown quite fond of but they didn't expect William Hill Estate to have a special place in their hearts forever. When the day finally came, Claudia didn't suspect a thing, well at least until there was a man hanging out on the patio drinking wine by himself. She thought that was odd. But it all paid off when he was able to capture the unforgettable moment Casey got down on one knee. They spent the rest of the day drinking wine and enjoying the Napa sunshine before heading back to the bay to tell family and friends the great news. "FINALLY!" shouted Claudia to her mom.
